Diamond Says In A Year She Wants To Be Fluent In Puerto Rican Spanish And Mix It In Her New Music
Diamond isn’t going to shy away from her Puerto Rican heritage anymore as she revealed in her recent interview with Rolling Out magazine.
“When I’m in the studio I like to first set the tone. I Like to light some candles and dim the light. I normally like to have like a blue light, like a club light. You know and kinda like sit back and relax,” Diamond revealed.
“A lot of people don’t know that I’m Puerto Rican and black. That’s something that I’ve kinda shied away from because I was a little embarrassed that I didn’t really know how to speak it as fluent as I should. So, I’ve been doing a lot of things to where know I can incorporate that in my music. Hopefully a year from now you know not just me speaking it fluently, you know I could rap it fluently,” Diamond explained.
