55th Annual Grammy nominations were released during the Grammy Nominations Concert Live! and Nicki Minaj was not nominated!
Why isn’t Nicki Minaj nominated again this year for her fantastic sophomore album? Last year, Nicki Minaj was nominated for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album.
Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was even certified platinum by the Recording Industry of America (RIAA) . Singles like “Starships,” “Beez in the Trap,” and “Pound the Alarm,” all Billboard 200 chart toppers, didn’t even catapult her for a nomination!
Nicki Minaj‘s co-manager had this to say about her not being nominated.

‘Fantastic album’ and ‘Roman Reloaded’ don’t belong in the same sentence, come on.
Nicki worked hard, yeah, but at what? Certainly not delivering an album that should be remembered, let alone rewarded. I understand that fans can be blind to the fact that other acts created BETTER releases, but, getting upset that Nicki’s latest didn’t get nominated? What did people expect? Just cause she ‘topped charts’ with a few singles doesn’t mean the music was worthy of being given a Grammy. Personally, I don’t think Rick Ross and 2 Chainz deserved to be nominated, but hey, at least Nas and The Roots got in there. Before Nicki goes and has a cry about why she didn’t get nominated, she should realize that her work has become inane and not worth giving a prize to.
