Azealia Banks Accuses Lil’ Kim Of Not Writing Her Own Raps, Disses #TeamLilKim & Lil’ Kim’s Rep Responds
Someone by the name of Azealia Banks might be letting fame get to her head in a major way. It wasn’t too long ago that Azealia Banks attacked T.I. / Iggy Azalea , stole gun in butt lyrics from Dominique Young Unique, dissed Kreayshawn and other disrespectful things to anyone in her path.. The “beef” ensued between the two rap divas yesterday when Azealia Banks unfollowed Lil’ Kim on twitter and proceeded then to follow Nicki Minaj on twitter. Just weeks ago Azealia Banks tweeted with glee about a possible Lil’ Kim collaboration in the works and wore a Lil’ Kim inspired pastie at Coachella. Now the highly opinionated artist Azealia Banks spun around and did a 360 going onto twitter again today on a long rant dissing Lil’ Kim as much as possible during her Alexander Wang photo shoot..
According to Lil’ Kim‘s rep, CJ Carter, the whole thing is just Azealia Banks attempt at trying to get more shine.
“The release comes as a surprise to our team, being that my client and Azealia Banks have NEVER spoke to one another or met AT ALL,” Carter said in a statement to Hip-Hop Wired.
“Lil’ Kim was actually very flattered [by] Azealia Banks‘s public admiration for her, which is why it’s so hard to understand how someone who claims to be a true Lil’ Kim fan could flip the script so easily on someone who was supposedly their idol. It is also VERY interesting that NO ONE from her team made any attempts to reach out to anyone from our team to voice any concerns or problems that they may have had”.“Lil’ Kim knows nothing of any beef, and furthermore has had nothing but nice things to say about her. We don’t know what this is and will not address this any further. It seems that this is another sad attempt by someone trying to use my client for publicity. We wish her nothing but the best.”
