Trina Sued for $50 Million By America’s Next Top Rapper

POSTED UNDER ARTIST : TRINA

Trina, her management team, the state of Florida, and other entities are being sued for $50 million by the people behind an event called America’s Next Top Rapper. Omnipresent Media and Lawrence “Amar” Wright allege that she agreed to judge and appear at the competition, though she never showed up.

They also allege that she was supposed to send promotional videos, which she didn’t, and that she asked for more money. The promoters claim they had to find a replacement for Trina at the last second. And apparently once the crowd saw she wasn’t there, they became “unruly and heckle[d] competition participants, yelling, in sum and substance, that Trina was not present.”

The suit states that the promoters are looking for $50 million in damages.
