Iggy Azalea Quotes Will.i.am When Asked About Azealia Banks ‘Beef’
Iggy Azalea had the chance to chat with That Grape Juice on many numerous topics. The bombshell beauty, Iggy Azalea, discussed if she thinks any of her buzz has to do with her skin color, what her business plans are going forward, a smidge to say about Azealia Banks, if she thinks female rappers have pressure to sex it up and more. Currently, Iggy Azalea is working on her new mixtape “Trap Gold.”
If female rappers have to sex it up : “No. I think there’s a lot of pressure on women in society it’s the same of you’re a rapper, your a singer, an actress or a girl that works in the coffee store to sex it up. I think, you grow up and they tell you that on the television and you owe it to the f*cking universe that you should look a certain way. You’ll get a good man, then you’ll have a successfully job. I mean, just look at all the shows.”
On her skin color : “If it was entirely based on skin color then you would have to ask yourself… Am I the first white girl ever to rap? The answer to that is no. If it was solely based on race we would have seen what’s happening now a long time ago.”
On Azealia Banks : “I think that she has a lot to say about everybody and everything. She, for some reason, wants to share the way that she feels about different artists with the world, that’s fine. I was talking to my friend will.i.am the other day and he said to me: “What you want to be is water. You don’t want to be fire, because it’s ugly and burns out quickly, it can only ever be fire- it can’t be anything else. If you’re water you can be anything you want, you can be steam, you can be liquid you can be ic. You can’t destroy water because it’s fluid and just chills. You should be water, water lasts forever. There’s so many fiery people and it’s hilarious to me when people like that are respected. It’s almost like a shock rider when they say stuff, and there’s this idea that they should be loved because they say whatever it is they want to say. Saying reckless sh*t, that’s really easy. It doesn’t take self control. It doesn’t involve any poise and I don’t really respect people like that. It’s much harder to keep your mouth shut and focus on your own thing. That’s something that I respect and think more people should respect too far more than they already do. I don’t really take too much to what she says. She just says it to be shocking.”

….but you spent half this interview talking about her, and she never talks about you? And you tweet shade whenever she has a success that you don’t? Oh okay.
Iggy must have really been hurt by Azealia calling her out on the slave master thing because in every, EVERY single interview she has, she’s always talking about her. Azealia, I’m sure, has been let that ish go but Iggy still stay on her ass. If anything, I’d say Azealia is steamy water. She’s fiery and hot, she says alot and you know I agree with Iggy with the poise thing, but she’s really one to talk. If she had any poise, she wouldn’t let the ish get to her. All I can say for Iggy is the only thing she has going for her is her skin color and her sex appeal. Azealia has sex appeal too but she has that 90′s flow, kinda Missy Elliot/Eve feel to it. Iggy doesn’t contain any substance at all and she’ll probably be the one to fizzle out. She’s giving all her attention to Azealia anyway just boosting up Azealia’s stardom.
Hmmm… If somebody said something about me that was unwarranted, I would be annoyed, just like Iggy is entitled to be with A Banks. If Iggy is asked about Banks in interviews, of course she is gonna talk about the situation…whatever it is. Every time I have seen Iggy be interviewed, she is cool and laidback, which is indicative of how Aussies are. What she says always makes sense….unlike Azealia Banks, who is always taking shots at somebody, and for what? At the end of the day, I feel both these ladies are overrated, and don’t hold a candle to Lauryn, Missy, Eve, Fox, Kim or any of the other new females like Angel Haze, Lola Monroe, Na’tee, Nitty or Rapsody.
