Kreayshawn : “I Don’t Wanna Make A Song About How People Think I’m This When I’m Really That”
Kreayshawn recently spoke with New York Magazine about her new album “Somethin’ Bout Kreay,” which is set to hit stores on September 18. Recently, Kreayshawn appreciated that Azealia Banks wasn’t being a kunt to her anymore.
On using her own life perception instead of what others perceive : “I wanna make stuff that sonically sounds really good. I don’t wanna make a song about how people think I’m this when I’m really that. I don’t wanna make a song about how I grew up broke.”
On who will probably listen to her debut album : “It’s definitely like a teen-girl CD, but you have songs like ‘Breakfast’ on it that are teen girl–slash–36-year-old–drug dealer.”
On where she was going in her life before the music : “I’m going to be, like, the oldest person to have a baby in my family. I’m like the person who went to college, but didn’t go to college. The success story is that I didn’t have a baby.”
